Restless Me

by Steve Mitchell

Ahh, restless.  Today I’m kind of restless.

My energy is still not 100 percent and I run the risk of overtaxing myself, but I’m recovered enough to get itchy from inactivity.  It’s a balancing act.

So, earlier today I washed my motorcycle.  That wasn’t too taxing.  Then I paid some bills.  I might go for a walk, later.

I sure am looking forward to a return to normalcy.  I’m looking forward to a wider perspective.  My focus is getting too narrow.  I don’t like this.

Anyhow.  Enough about me.

Let’s talk about my blog.

Yes.

I’m going to let you in on a little blog secret:  This blog isn’t necessarily a complete, unbiased account of my day to day life!

I know, weird!   Right?

But, Steve!  you’re surely saying, are you telling us your life isn’t the tremendously amazing tsunami of deep philosophy and quirky zen awesomeness it appears to be in your blog?

Well, sure it is!

But, in the interest of full disclosure, the blog itself is . . . subjective.

Yeah.

It’s subjective.  It’s an impression.  Not every detail will make it into the record.  Not every personal foible will be offered up.

I am, at heart, for all my story telling ways, a very private person.   So, Good Reader, take everything you read with a grain of salt.

Heed not me.

Although, now that I think about it; I’ve written a post nearly every day for over two years.  So, in spite of my selective editing and my subjective approach, I’ve got a nagging suspicion I may have revealed much more about myself than I ever intended.

Huh.

I guess that’s all right.
