Off To The Theater

So, Lucie and I are leaving, momentarily, to see the play Equus.
It should be nice.
It’s a nice play about horses, right?
Sounds uplifting and wholesome . . .

Naked people. NAKED PEOPLE.
AIEEEEeeeeEEE!!!
We had a nice time.
I’d never seen Equus. I enjoyed it but, unfortunately, this production was uneven. I wasn’t captivated. The actor playing the doctor was either out of his depth or he didn’t do the work. His performance had no emotional arc and his monologues were “memorized-y” (I just invented that term.) The understudy last night who played the teen, Alan, was very strong in comparison.
I concur on both accounts.
