The wise man, being wise, seeks not to promote his notions farther and wider, to all within earshot, to all within eyeshot.

Neither is he pretentious, striving vainly to impress with ersatz profundity, while, in actuality, merely adverbally putting forth opinion and, frequently, tritely so.

Neither is he concerned with his impression upon others.
